About these terms

Maldives Offers (maldivesoffers.com) is a product of MT Media (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to everyone who uses the site: travellers browsing offers, and properties and agencies that list with us (“operators”). By using the site you agree to them. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy page.

What Maldives Offers is, and isn't

Maldives Offers is a listings site. We show current offers from guesthouses, hotels, resorts, tour companies, watersports centres, transfer companies and travel agencies in the Maldives, and link you to them. We are not a travel agent, and we don't sell holidays, take bookings or take payments. When you book, your agreement is directly with the property or operator, on their terms.

For travellers

• Offer details come from the operators. Prices, dates, what's included and conditions are set by each property or operator, either posted by them or taken by us from their own public website. We check listings before they go live, but we can't guarantee every detail. Prices are in US dollars. Always confirm the price, dates and conditions with the operator before you pay.
• Availability isn't guaranteed. An offer showing here doesn't mean rooms or places are free on your dates. The operator confirms that.
• The trusted tick means we've checked the operator ourselves and are satisfied it's a genuine business. It isn't a guarantee of their service.
• Problems with a booking (changes, cancellations, refunds, the stay itself) are for you and the operator to sort out. If you think a listing is misleading, tell us through the contact form and we'll look into it.
• Using the site is free. We don't charge travellers anything.

For operators

• Who can list. Genuine guesthouses, hotels, resorts, tour companies, watersports centres, transfer companies and travel agencies serving the Maldives, listed by someone allowed to act for the business. We review every new listing (usually within 12 hours) and may turn one down.
• Accurate offers. You are responsible for your listing and offers: prices with their basis, dates, what's included and any conditions must be true and up to date, and you should honour an offer for travellers who book it while it's showing. End offers that are no longer available.
• Your content. You keep ownership of the text and photos you add. You confirm you have the right to use them, and you allow us to show them on the site, in link previews, in search results and when we promote the site. Don't post anything misleading, unlawful or that belongs to someone else.
• Bookings are yours. Travellers contact you directly and you take the booking and the payment. We take no commission.
• Our decisions. We may edit how a listing is presented (for example its formatting or category), hide or end an offer, or suspend or remove a listing that breaks these terms, misleads travellers or that we receive serious complaints about. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
• Listings we added. Some listings were added by us from a business's own public website. If it's yours, you can ask us to update it, hand it over to you or remove it.
• Your account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You can ask us to close your account at any time.

Plans and payments (operators)

• Each listing is free for its first 3 months, counted from the day you sign up (or from the day we give you access to a listing we set up), with up to 5 live offers.
• After that, each listing needs a plan: Starter ($20 a month or $200 a year, 1 live offer), Pro ($50 a month or $500 a year, 5 live offers), or Custom, at a price we agree with you. See pricing.
• Featured costs $50 for 30 days and is included in Custom.
• You pay by bank transfer in US dollars and upload the receipt. A plan or Featured period starts once we've approved the payment, and we may turn down a payment that hasn't arrived or doesn't match.
• If you move to a different plan, days left on the old one aren't refunded automatically; ask us and we'll look at it fairly.
• When a plan ends without renewal, your offers stay live for 7 more days, then go offline. Nothing is deleted, and they come back once a payment is approved.
• We may change prices for future periods; a period you've already paid for isn't affected.

Using the site fairly

Don't misuse the site: no fake listings or enquiries, no attempts to get into other people's accounts or data, no interfering with how the site works, and no copying listings in bulk by automated means.

Our content

The Maldives Offers name, logo and site design belong to MT Media. Operators' content belongs to them, and some photos are used under their providers' licences.

Liability

We provide the site as it is and work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for operators' services, their offers, bookings or payments made with them, or losses that come from using the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives.
